Business Development Specialist - Government Contractor Partnerships
Job Summary
1FORCE is seeking an ambitious, strategic Business Development Specialist with a knack for building partnerships within the government contracting landscape. This role centers on establishing and growing alliances with leading contractors, ensuring we are a trusted partner on collaborative ventures. You’ll work closely with senior leadership, driving strategies to enhance our presence, secure partnerships, and position us as a top choice for government contracting collaborations.
Key Responsibilities
- Relationship Building and Management:
- Identify, engage, and strengthen relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in prominent government contracting firms.
- Build long-term partnerships with major contractors, partners, and others across the government services ecosystem.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for partnership-related communications, facilitating alignment across all teams involved.
- Partnership Development:
- Collaborate with internal teams to foster partnerships aimed at winning government contracts, emphasizing the unique value we bring as a partner.
- Develop and execute strategies to establish our services as a valuable, reliable resource to larger contracting organizations.
- Spot potential teaming opportunities, create persuasive partnership proposals, and secure roles on joint contract bids.
- Business Growth and Market Analysis:
- Conduct competitive analysis, monitor market trends, and identify partnership opportunities in government contracting.
- Stay informed on new contract releases, solicitations, and procurement plans across federal, state, and local governments.
- Build a strong pipeline of partnership leads, track progress, and report on success metrics to senior leadership.
Qualifications
- Experience:
- 5+ years in business development, partnership management, or a related role, ideally in the government contracting or federal services arena.
- Demonstrated success in forming and nurturing partnerships with prominent contractors and winning collaborative opportunities in government contracting.
- Skills:
- Exceptional networking skills with the ability to build and sustain influential relationships.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective strategy presentations and negotiations.
- A strategic mindset with a proactive approach to identifying and securing partnership opportunities.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Public Administration, or a related field.
